DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS WITH GOD AND WITH PEOPLE

The importance of developing and maintaining a personal relationship both with God and with people is stressed in all of our teaching and practice.

 

PRAYING REGULARLY FOR EVERYTHING

Faithful prayer allows us to enter a partnership with God and is the foundational means of fruitfulness, both in the individual and in the functioning of the church.

 

USING THE BIBLE AS GOD’S WORD TO US

The teaching of the contents of the Bible is a core activity of the church because it is our authority and source of faith, growth, strength, and guidance.

 

EXPRESSING PASSIONATE WORSHIP

Our first act of ministry is unto God, worshipping him out of a sincere heart and with outward expressions of love and devotion.

 

SEEKING THE FILLING AND MOVING OF THE SPIRIT

We believe spiritual empowering comes from being filled with God’s Spirit, and we want to be yielded to the Spirit to move upon us in our corporate meetings and in our individual lives.

 

KEEPING THE UNITY OF CHRIST’S BODY

Our solidarity with Christians everywhere, which is Christ’s body, or the universal church, is to be earnestly sought to the extent possible, that this ideal for which Christ prayed may be found in our attitudes and commitments.

 

MINISTERING TO THE FAMILY

The family is intended by God to be the foundational social unit in society and is to be nourished, served, and protected. We therefore emphasize ministry to the entire family, and support the sanctity of marriage, biblical sexuality, and the value of human life.

 

HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GENEROSITY IN GIVING

To live in obedience to God is to give of our resources freely. We support generous giving of tithes and offerings and other resources such as time and talent as good stewards of what God has given us.

 

PARTICIPATING IN SMALL GROUPS

We support and encourage regular participation in church sponsored small groups for discipleship, fellowship, and ministry.
